Summer isn’t quite over, yet I feel as though we’ve missed an entire season. Months have gone by, with most of my time spent indoors. Working in the office, climbing in the gym, and working out of coffee shops — aside from a short trip to Portland, I really didn’t get out much.
The past few months haven’t been so terrible in spite of the lack of al fresco dining or walks in the park. For me, this summer was about discovery, connections, and balance. I may have fallen heavily into a routine, but much of the routine involved crossing places off my list. The coffee shops I wanted to check out, the shops I wanted to explore, the restaurants I wanted to try — maybe I missed the summer, but I certainly didn’t miss the experiences.
Even so, as summer begins to fade away, I hope to embrace what’s left of it. What are your favorite experiences from summer? What’s on your end-of-summer bucket list?
